Hey everyone,

I just picked up a new iPhone 3G S on Friday and I was really excited to use it with my Harman Kardon Drive+Play unit. This unit has worked very well for me in the past 3 years I've had it. Now, when I plug the new 3G S phone into it, audio only plays through the right channel. The left channel is slightly crackly and barely audible. The right speakers are crystal clear.

I did some troubleshooting and here is what I found:

-With a normal iPod, audio is in stereo.
-If I use the AUX input with the 3G S, it's in stereo.
-Plugging my 3G S into my iPod HiFi generates stereo sound.

So I'm really at a loss as to what could be causing the problem. I used the D+P with my 2G iPhone for 2 years and it never had an issue. Since the new phone works in stereo on the HiFi speakers, I know it's not the phone. So, I'm really not sure what could be causing this.

Any suggestions, input or help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!!
