Looks like I'll be returning the blackarmor NAS and pick either a QNAP or synology. So far my research as indicated that I should avoid the WD caviler Green drive because of issues bring reported when you RAID them

That being case any seagate models that would work well or other WD drives that would be compatible
 
I've had no issues with the WD Caviar Black models. In fact, I have two 1TB Blacks in RAID 0 in my desktop Windows PC and two 1.5TB in RAID 1 in my DNS-323 NAS enclosure.

If you are considering Synology, I suggest you have a look in their website. They have a list of compatible drives to use in their units along with some notes about some particular frives. I have a DS411+ with 4 2TB Hitachi drives.
