Hi,

I have a 1TB LaCie that has just stopped mounting. It makes a very faint squeeling noise when it tries to spin up, and then nothing happens. The drive is under warranty, so LaCie will replace it, but obviously not the data. They recommended Drive Savers, who do seem incredibly competent, however, they are rather expensive. I was told to expect to pay $2900-3900 for recovery. Now this information is very important to our business, but not necessarily "essential."

Does anyone have any experience with other companies that offer a similar service?

Thanks in anticipation.
