My Windows 7 64Bit Laptop seems to have a hard time installing the driver for Apple Mobile Device (Recovery Mode). Every time I tried to update iOS on any of my devices, it would get to the point of Recovery Mode and stuck there because Windows fails to install the driver for recovery mode.
I could plug the iPad or iPhone into another laptop running Win 8.1 and it would detect it, but not on my Win 7 laptop. I follow this article:
http://support.apple.com/en-us/TS1538
And I always ended up with
Following the instruction to use the driver in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers
But one of the 2 would always show code 10 error. Win updates, reboot, reinstall itunes, AMDS, quicktime, etc... nothing helps. Remove the drivers, scan hardware, same thing.
I even swapped cables, USB ports, etc... the laptop just won't recognize the iDevice when it is in Recovery Mode. Any idea?
