I'm looking for some XP drivers for the ATI Radeon X1600 card in my old Macbook Pro. I found these: http://driverscollection.com/?H=Radeon X1600&By=ATI&SS=Windows XP

Unfortunately, they don't seem to work when I install them. According to the device manager, it seems my drivers are on version 8.45 which definitely doesn't sound good when you appear to be able to get up to version 9.8.

The main reason I want them updated is because my computer is overheating massively and causing artifacting and other graphical problems even when playing older games like Morrowind. V Sync never seems to work either, and after about 10 mins of playing Dead Space the base becomes too hot to touch and I can barely tell what's going on in the game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If it's any help, I'm running a Macbook Pro from around Xmas of 2006. 2.16 GHz and 2GB's of RAM.

EDIT: Just realised. I'd already posted the same problem on this site a while back. It never got resolved though, so help would still be appreciated. :)
