I have a couple hard drives that I formatted with a Newertech dock, which I no longer have. I have a couple different ways to connect the drive to my Macbook Pro, but none of them recognize the formatting of the drives formatted with the Newertech. I could buy that dock again, but I'm wondering if there's any software that can solve this problem--that can mount drives that only certain docks recognize.

Had a similar problem with a sys clone that seemed to work fine with an old Voyager Q (FW800) but after a changeover to all USB3 Externals, and new system, I could never recover it. Deemed it not worth the trouble after a few attempts on 2 Macs with a new Dock, old USB2 case, formatting, etc. Used Disk Warrior - nope. Last attempt was to format PC and then back to OSX. Didn't work here, but it can in some instances.

One of those moments when dual backups paid off.

After years of having many loose drives around, I learned to never fall in love with any of them or whatever dock/case they might be in ;)

Good Luck
