After upgrading to iOS 15, I cannot get the Driving focus to turn on automatically when my phone connects to my car's Bluetooth. I have tried unpairing/repairing my phone to my car stereo. I tried deleting the Driving focus and recreating it. In my Bluetooth settings, my car's stereo (Uconnect) is set to "Device Type -> Car Stereo." I've tried everything I can think of, yet Driving focus simply will not turn on when my phone connects to my car's stereo. Really frustrating. Am I missing something or is this an iOS 15 bug?

Not sure if it matters, but my vehicle is a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a UConnect 4C system.

"Do Not Disturb While Driving" in iOS 14 and earlier was so much simpler to understand and use. Setting up all of these Focus modes feels like a really bad homework assignment.

I have a Fiat 500e that also uses the Uconnect system and it appears to be working for me, in fact a bit too well! I opened the boot of my car this morning to load a few items and it went into driving focus mode straight away. Not sure why it should do this just for opening the boot and it's a bit annoying when I'm not leaving home for another 30 minutes.

Hmm, strange. Thanks for sharing. When I receive my new iPhone 13 tomorrow, I might set it up as a new device (rather than restoring from a backup) just to clear out any bugs or other corruption.

Mine isn’t turning on automatically either while in my car with my iPhone 13 pro.

I got an iPhone 13 Pro Max on launch day, had to exchange it on Saturday and then last night I noticed that Driving Focus on the new iPhone 13 Pro Max I got wasn’t activated while I was driving …. Went into the settings and some how it got switched to only turn on manually.

Seems to be working fine now that I'm using a 13 Pro Max. I ended up restoring from a backup since I didn't have time/patience to set up as a "new device." Hopefully it will keep working.

I have IOS 15.6.1 and am IPHONE 12Pro Max. I have called Apple Care 4 times and had this issue escalated. I have deleted the focus cleared browser cache and rebooted phone and added back driving focus. It will not come on automatically anymore like it used to when driving was detected. If I toggle the driving focus on manually it will show the Focus Icon and it will lock the screen from opening when driving unless I say That I am not driving however when i out of the car even though the lock on the phone opens up but the focus driving icon won’t ever go away. Apple care’s next step is to reset phone to factory defaults but I refused to try that as I lose so many passwords etc when the phone comes back on. I haven’t found one solution to this bug and I have searched everywhere?
