Drobo Dashboard + Airport Extreme

So from what I understand, the Drobo Dashboard software won't work with the Drobo hooked up the Airport Extreme via USB?

Does this mean I should get a DroboShare and hook it up to my APE via Ethernet cable so I can be able to use the Drobo Dashboard software? Does the DS work with the Gen2? Guess I should have just got a Drobo FS and had an extra slot too

I'd like to be able to monitor it should anything ever happen.

The USB on the Airport Extreme is NOT a full-fledged USB port like on your Mac. It's mainly designed for two kinds of devices:

* simple external HDs
* printers

The Drobo FS, as you said, works w/o a problem with any Airport device.
