Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong category but I didn't know where else to post this. Anyway, I want to be able to keep my folders on my desktop but at the same time make them Drop-Box compatible. It's such a hassle for me to open the Drop Box folder all the time to reach a lecture slide or an article. I have a system of managing files on my desktop and I would like to keep it that way. Is there any way to make my Drop Box files appear on my desktop?

Yes, it is possible to symlink folders to your Dropbox folder.
Sorry for just linking to a search result page, but as you can see, there are a variety of guides out there, and as I do not use symlinking, I cannot recommend a "best" one.
