Hi Forum,

I am a bit confused about Evernote and Dropbox. I thought that these were cloud services and all filed were stored in the clouds. However, when I loo at my usage space in my ipad general settings I see that Dropbox is taking up 700mb of space on my ipad (nothing starred) and Evernote is taking up 500mb . Any ideas why?

Thanks.

It depends on your settings. If you have Evernote Premium and have offline viewing enabled, it will store a copy on the iPad. Otherwise it may have some for caching, I don't have any notebooks set for offline viewing and am using 98MB.

On Dropbox, when you mark a file as "favorite" it stores it for offline use. Otherwise, it also has a token amount set aside for caching purposes.

Unfortunately I have cleared my caches for Evernote, not sure how to do Dropbox. I also have the free version if Evernote and nothing starred on DB. So confused.
