Dropbox-like app that shows avi files?

Hey all! I'm looking for some kind of app that basically works like Dropbox except it can play video avi files or basically anything else that's not playable in Quicktime. I have the VLC app but the unfortunate thing is that there is something wrong with my computer and my iPad and iPhone don't show up in my iTunes except on very random occasions, so I have to rely a lot on wireless transfer. Any suggestions?
