The Photos mess in iOS 8 has me rethinking how I sync and back up all my photos. Does anyone use DropBox? How is it navigating thousands of photos within their app? What do you use to then view/edit/organize your photos on your Mac?
Any advice appreciated. Apple's system is very convenient with all the automatic uploading/downloading, but it feels like musical chairs every year.

what's the mess?

I use Dropbox for photo backup. It is very clear, simple and consistent. iCloud is a mess for photo backup.

DropBox Photos - do you use it?

I used to use Dropbox but then OneDrive gave me 65GB so I switched to them.

I used Dropbox until today. Hopefully they fix it.

After upgrading Dropbox and then updating to iOS 8, Dropbox wanted to upload all 2700 photos that I have synced from my computer. I already have those in Dropbox in other locations and higher resolutions. I don't need it to rename and reupload them again. I miss Camera Roll already.
