I am trying to get Dropbox to sync my documents folder on 2 macs. It works fine with 1 MAC with a symbolic link. But I am confused on how to do it on another MAC. Basically I want both documents folder to be the same on both MACS always. Anyone achieve a way to do this?

Not sure if you figured it out or not but here is how to do it

1. install dropbox on mac 1 and create symlink for documents folder

2. let it sync the folder till it is completely done

3. close dropbox on that machine (close from menu bar icon)

4. install dropbox on mac 2 and let it completely sync

5. copy content from document folder in dropbox to your doc folder in your home folder.

6. close dropbox on mac 2

7. delete document folder in dropbox on mac 2 (don't worry won't delete your files)

7. create symlink on mac 2

8. launch dropbox on both machines and rejoice.

EDIT: and by the way is is Mac...not MAC (which stands for media control address)
