Dropped 2g Iphone , now no signal, broken antenna?

My daughter dropped her 2g iphone , causing a small bulge over the volume button. The phone cannot get a signal now , we have tried different sim cards with the same result. Is there an antenna inside that could break?

Otherwise everything else on the phone works as it should. Any suggestions?

You could've broke the antenna or any number of other things. First, you should try resetting network settings. If that doesn't work, try a reboot (hold home and power buttons until the phone turns off). Finally, if that doesn't work, restore your phone in DFU mode (see my sig for the link). If none of that works, you'll need to go to the store and get an out of warranty replacement for $199.
