So today, I forgot my iPhone 4 was in my lap. I stand up and my phone falls to the floor. Soft carpet, wasn't a long fall. Everything on the phone works. NO cosmetic damage. All the glass is fine. No cracks/breaks/chips/etc. Everything feels solid as a rock.

My only worry, and I'm probably just worrying that something was damaged, is with the stock Camera app. The app "closing" animation (box out) effect on the Camera app, isn't as smooth as every other app on the phone.

Every other app loads and unloads with very very smooth animation. My Camera app loads smoothly but you can tell the animation is not quite as smooth when closing the Camera app. Am I just crazy?

I wouldn't worry about it. If, for example, the camera were damaged the shutter would never open in the first place. With the camera open, how long does it take after you close the home button before you see the home acreen?

The time is about the same. It is just the animation that is not "as" smooth as the other apps.

But a weird thing. I downloaded a third party camera app, and it opens and closes just fine. Smooth.

If you're talking about the slight stutter half way through closing the camera app, yes that's normal.

I am lol

god, I'm paranoid. I need to get over this. LOL. It gets to the point where I spend more time worrying about my iPhone 4 and new MBP more than I do enjoying them... *sigh*

Did you expect it to be damaged? I'd be surprised if it was damaged even if you dropped it without protection onto a carpet.

The camera app does take a while to open up so you can see through the camera. not a big deal.

omg man, sort it out.
The other day my phone fell out of my pocket as I was getting out the car, it fell onto concrete with NO case. The result, glass is now scuffed in the corner it hit, but everything else seems ok. More importantly I havn't thought about it since that day. It's just a phone
