Dropped Iphone into the water, need help!

i dropped my iphone into the tub, we already have it dried and it powers up but it only shows the apple logo then shut down after a few seconds. i already tried to restore it via itunes but itunes only gave me an error msg that it cant be restored for some reason.

advices will turely be appreaciated

Since you have turned on the phone after it was dropped into the water I would say your are S.O.L.

Next time make sure you disassemble, as much as you can, any phone dropped into the water. Let them dry for at least 24-48 hrs before powering up. I have done this twice with success.

You will need to send it into Apple for repair.

Actually, next time leave it in a bag of rice and don’t turn it on. After a few days, then try it.

I dropped my 3G in the toilet once. Disassembled like poster 2 stated, let it air out, put it back together, worked fine.

Seriously with the rice? The concept makes sense, but wouldn't that muck up the phone?
