Dropped the iphone 6 and the glass broke, I am wondering what my options are? I don't have applecare?
is it expensive to fix? I was just going to buy a new iphone, but if the repair is easy and less expensive then may go that route.

^^^This.

Go with Apple. You'll get an OEM replacement part and won't have to worry.

Sometimes you may get lucky too. I cracked the screen on my 6+ over a year ago and because of the issues Apple had around the release of iOS 9 Apple replaced my phone for the price of the screen repair.

Go in to apple. Be honest and ask for options.

At worst they will replace screen and you warranty and future repairs will stay intact. After market work or parts will void future help from Apple.

Sometimes you may get a new phone or genious will enroll you in AppleCare+ which will be $129 + $29 for screen. But you will have a second screen repair left for anothe $29.

Thank you, I will go to the apple store and see what options I have.

They'll also do this if they get it in and find damage preventing just a screen replacement after they've quoted you.

With the other (nightmarish) alternative being that the accidental damage to the phone is so great that a new screen can't be applied and one is stuck with paying the out of warranty replacement cost of $299+tax. Unlikely, but still possible.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
