Dropped a 15'' mbp from about 6'' inches to the ground. Didn't see how it hit or what actually happened with it. Now when I close the laptop, it has a very slight overbite - basically the top / lcd portion hangs over the edge of the bottom by a very small amount. Not sure how to correct the 'overhang' / 'overbite'. What contact points should I be looking at or pressing on / fiddling with.

Hi,

The most likely damage would be in the hinges. Keep the screen open and push the display downwards.

You can also consider opening the bottom case, loosening the hinges and realigning the top.

Best of luck.

I'd look at how the hinges are lined up. I'd also caution you to be very careful as aluminum is quite soft and you don't want to make matters worse.

Good luck
