Dropped my iphone 5....how to factory unlock on at&t....

I dropped my iphone 5. Cracked screen. Phone still works. Im still in contract with at&t (unlimited plan). How do i factory unlock it, so i can get more money for it on ebay. Saw a factory unlocked 16gb iphone 5 sell for 400$. I can get the 5s for 449$.

Unfortunately, the prices that the unlocking services are charging has skyrocketed from a few bucks to a hundred--and they are often unreliable now. It's not worth it anymore to increase resale value IMO.

When you sign a new contract and upgrade to the 5s, the iPhone 5 will no longer be on contract. At that point AT&T will unlock it for you.

call att and tell them you need it unlocked for traveling overseas. dont they still unlock for their customers in good standing?
