Hi, I just got my first iPhone last month. It's my first smartphone and I looooove it. It's an iPhone 4.

I have an off-brand Otterbox Defender case on it - hard inner shell, silicone outside.

Last Tuesday I was walking out to my car and I was on the phone, when I dropped it from about 5ft onto concrete. It landed on its back. Upon inspection out of the case, there is no sign of any physical damage. There is a scuffed up/beat up corner on the inner shell case (which protrudes out from under the silicone) and I guess this indicates that it hit the ground on the front bottom corner.

Everything seems to be working fine, I just want to make sure that I don't have any reason I should be concerned about it, regarding any software or hardware issues that may not be immediately visible. (Do you all think it's fine based on what you've heard?)

(Side note - last Wednesday night I got a random vibration though I had no notifications, I checked and it's not gmail as a lot of people have said gives them a vibrate without an alert. It happened twice within 5 minutes.

Didn't happen again until Saturday, when it happened once. I'm hoping it just has to do with my push notification settings, but I've looked and I can't figure out what it could be. I guess I'm slightlyyyy (read: overly) paranoid  that the drop did it :/ )

Thanks!

I would not be concerned. If everything else is working and it turns on, you are fine. I would have been concerned if after you dropped it, it would not turn on.

Thanks. I'll try not to worry then!
