Oooppsss - while drunk in London I dropped my iphone in a deep puddle of muddy water....it was fully submerged for about 5-10 seconds while I had to fish it out

Earpiece speaker stopped working during the night but thank god, the next day the whole phone worked without fail - as if it never went through the truma!

Yay! Hope it stays this way

Thanks for including the fact that it was on Oxford Street....very helpful, additional information there...

I have not. Do enlighten lol.

It's one of the major shopping streets in London and runs from Marble Arch through to Tottenham Court Road ;-)

I've heard people in the past say that a good remedy for dropping your phone in water is to put it in a bag of brown rice for a week or so. Inconvenient, but you might want to consider it just in case. The rice is meant to draw the water out.

or in a bag with those little silica sachets you get with new shoes that always say DO NOT EAT! lol!

BTW did you set off the water sensors then? lol?

Your crazy lucky man! I dropped mine in the toilet one time.... after I ummm used the facilities. Still worked, but it has never been the same since!

Strangely enough - the water sensor as not been set off... the phone was definitely completely in water for about 5-10 seconds....
