And now the screen is cracked. I've had an iPhone before for 2 years and never dropped it before. Anyone else whom experienced such unfortunate events?

Ouch...sorry to hear that. I've been lucky enough not to drop my phone on a hard surface yet. On carpets, a few times, but nothing major.

Sorry to hear man, I dropped mine after 2 weeks I bought it. I was a little more fortunate though because only the back plate had a little crack in it. I was pretty furious that day haha

unlucky :(

If you are looking to get your screen replaced I would recommend http://www.iresq.com/ If the Screen, LCD and Digitizer are broken then it is $175.

Both MTPFlyers and ThatSnazzyiPhoneGuy have been happy with the repair on YouTube.

next time don't buy a phone made out of all glass.

Or just protect it appropriately. Otterbox makes is basically indestructable to average everyday abuse like this, even the bumper could (I say COULD) help in these situations.

Sorry to hear about your fate though. That's the catch 22 of these devices. They are beautiful, light, and thin, but also fragile. So you give up all of those features to make it less fragile, or leave it vulnerable but as-intended.

I once bought a Palm Pilot organiser
got it home
Opened box and dropped it on floor
Result .....smashed screen!

Home insurance paid out luckily
