I've had a quick search around and still cant find the answer.

I play a couple of simulation games, such as Football Manager, and wondered whether I could cut back to the desktop (or whatever the Mac equivalent is) without quitting the game. I'm very new to the Mac world, so please forgive me if its been answered a billion times already.

Thanks.

You can cut to desktop using F11 even during full screen games (i also play footy manager). If it doesn't work on some, try holding down the fn key when you hit F11.

Isnt the F11 button the sound? Is that what you mean by using the FN button. I'll go try.

EDIT: Just tried it, and it doesn't work :(

Tried using the F11 button on its own, the sound turned down, tried it with the fn key, it just sent me to a certain FM page (it was a shortcut).

Yeah.

You can change the key that activates it in System Preferences>Dashboard & Expose

Excuse me, I'm not stupid when it comes to technology, but this is my first mac, and I've had it for 2 or 3 days.

I've opened up the expose bit, seen the desktop is F11, but I don't know what to do after that.

Sorry for being so dense :(
