I have a 2018 Mac Mini, i7, 16Gb, 1Tb drive. When recording drums and using drum sample software such as Superior Drummer, would it be faster/more efficient to install Superior Drummer on a fast external drive and not use the internal 1Tb drive? Thanks

If you have an external mSATA, m., or any decent solid state EHD, eternal would be fine. I would NOT, EVER use samples or plugins off of a hard disc drive, especially if you have a sufficient internal.
