My Iomega External Hard Drive is saying

The folder “Iomega 1TB” can’t be opened because you don’t have permission to see its contents.

The 782 26 seems to imply that the user associated with the drive isn't one defined on your system. That is strange.

You also typically need execute privileges to read folders.

Before you do anything else, try to use repair permissions from Disk Utility.
