from that thread you guys can see i purchased BOTH the aquapac and the Drycase.

I typically use my waterproof cases in 'high risk environments' as a secondary layer of protection, while the phone is not in contact with any hazard... not 'out in the water'. Typically ive put my phone in these cases when im on the boat, and put the phone in the cabin. or at the beach, and the phone is in a backpack ect... yesterday was the first day i used the drycase literally "in the water" and it totally failed.

I decided to go with the drycase mainly because if its giant velcro strap and i would take it one step further and use it IN the water! I was windsurfing while on call for work at the same time, i took my iphone sim card out and swapped it into an ATT gophone (thank god!). Using the giant velcro strap i strapped the drycase behind a mast fitting, totally protected from any impact, and well out of splash line. it was a perfect spot. very first run with the drycase, i went to drop the sail to make an adjustment. The case was prob submerged into about 3 inches of water for roughly 1 minute, probably less. When i got under way again i looked at the Nokia only to see the bag Half FULL with water. im like "oh thats really nice, thank god my iphones not in there..."

believe it or not, the Nokia somehow survived! :) iphone would have never stood a chance. Turns out after closer examination about a 1/4" of the edge of the bag under the locking mechanism simply opened.

--EDIT--
sent an email to drycase, they immediately sent me out a replacement after verifying the purchase and seeing the photo I took of the case. Fantastic Customer Support.
