Ok,with the new pokemon platinum out i really want a ds. But i was wandering if the dsi is worth it. The only thing that would make me pay the extra to get it would be if the little store thing would be getting nes, snes,or gba games? Does anyone know of any plans to put nes, snes, or gba games in the ds store?

Surely it's a given to get download gb and gba games in time......

If you're buying now I'd spring the extra $$ for the DSi. It doesn't seem like much of an upgrade on paper but in person I reckon the larger screens are sufficient to make it worth it. It'll also be pretty exciting to see what devs come up with for the new features to boot.....

The DS resolution is too small for SNES games (which is a hella shame IMO) but I guess theres nothing to stop them from bringing over GB, GBC, GBA and NES games.

Well a big negative for the pokemon game(of which I'm just finishing Pearl, wonderful game!) would be the lack of a GBA slot for the GBA game(which you can use to get all the pokemon)

Still the DSi looks great from my view, and I plan to buy one tonight

thats where i got the idea. so i could import them into diamond from a downloaded emerald or ruby

I think I am going to trade in my DS for DSi. You get $70 for your DS through GameStop. I am a sucker for the new models... (Had original DS, then DS lite, and now getting DSi.)

Yea, that would be quite nice!

Sadly nothing yet, and an interview with Reggie from Wired didn't make it seem to positive(but of course he's answer were more corporate then personal)

alright, from what you guys have said i think im just gonna go with the original ds or the lite, and play nes on my computer

I went to Wal Mart right at 7:00AM est to pick up the DSi. Ours had four in stock (I got the black one!) I have to wait until Easter to open it, but my parents paid for it (Nicest parents ever ) so I can wait. I got Mario Kart and the new super mario bros. I hope to get GTA: Chinatown wars and the Curious Village soon!

YAY!!!

At least they give you 1000 shop points when you load the DSi shop browser. I downloaded the web browser (free) and WarioWare Snapped 500 points.....

Liking the DSi - the DS was my most used console, and see no reason why the DSi wont continue that trend :D

I love mine. I downloaded Warioware and the Art Style title. I hope they add a lot more games, and I hope they follow that Quality not Quantity plan that Reggie said.

DSi is nice, but my hinge seems a little weak...it moves a little when I hit a bump if I'm playing in a car.

Worrisome..I might call Nintendo, see if I can't get it fixed

I am really liking the bigger screen. That alone was worth it for me. And now I can use wifi without setting my network to WEP. (Finally!)
