I have SBC Yahoo! DSL and I wanted to hook up my Netgear WGU624v2 up for wireless networking. I previously had a D-Link but the wireless signal from the router must have melted when my brother forced a highervoltage power supply into the socket, and we watched it smoke up before he removed it. I EVEN WENT TO COSTCO TO PURCHASE THE SAME THING! It didn't work!

My problem is, I followed EVERY SINGLE step (or so I believe) to make the Netgear work, but it didn't work. Is it just because DSL is incompatible with Netgear's default functions? I mean, at my home (the SBC is at my father's small business work) we have cable and it works SWIMMINGLY, but when I attempted to plug it at work, it wouldn't even read the internet.

My procedure was: install software provided (via CD). Turn off computer. unplug the router and dsl modem. Computer turned off as well (although on didn't work anyways). I first hooked in the DSL modem on, all while the wires are connected to its respective destinations (router, lancard). Then, I turn on the netgear router.

I gave it 3 tries before abandoning it. Care to help?
