does anyone use dsl with mac? I bought a wireless modem yesterday and i'm having all sorts of problems. I can't access apple website even though i'm connected, and sometimes, actually most of the time, i can't even connect at all. When i am connected it's terribly slow. Also every time i open safari i have to go through that whole network detection crap and pick the modem and all that. WHy can't i just pull up safari and it knows what my modem is and use it.

I'm new to mac by the way?

Using Leopard? I've had some problems with my DSL while running it. What provider and type of modem?

att yahoo dsl. the modem is a 2wire wireless. i just got off the phone with a dsl agent and they had me change a frequency setting and so far seems to be good.

It might work. I have the same exact set-up and the only thing that makes it work is to do a total reset by pulling the power. The funny thing is once the wireless decides to stop working, the ethernet won't work at all.
