Hi.. I have a dsl connection with a dynamic ip. Would this affect the linksys wireless router at all? Thanks.

Anh

i have to say that i dont know, but I had a problem with my dsl and "router". I have a dsl cisco 678 modem and I bought a netgear router cuz the red shirt told me to (woops). Apparently the cisco 678 modem is a router (that is it doles out ip addresses) and adding a router confused everything. It turns out i had to return the netgear router and buy just a standard hub. Hope this helps.

Not at all. You just set the router to use DHCP and look for ip assigned to it by your isp, and you're set.

i have the same cisco 678 modem.. like you said, it's also a router.. i wonder if you can just set it so it'll only have one local ip and connect another router to that. If not, are there any hubs with wireless capability?
