Hi,

First of all, I'm a mac user so I'm staying @macrumors like all the time.
However, I'm also after a dedicated forum on DSLR in which area I'm a pure beginner yet.

I've heard dpreview is good, and the reviews seem comprehensive but I not sure the forum there is the best as well. I really don't like the layout (no offence).

Any recommendation my fellows?

dpreview - it's my go-to
dxomark - more for lens/sensor reviews than cameras

and each brand will have their own forums.

google steves digicams (for reviews anyway, I don't have experience with their forum side)

There are so many ways to learn. The best is a combination of finding a friend who is better than you or a group in your area.. Pair that with online tips (adding to the list) Your camera site has tips. Eventhough I shoot with Nikon, occasionally I will go to the Canon site where they have tips for season shooting. ie fireworks, Christmas lights, sports, landscapes etc.

Cameralabs.com has nice reviews too. I like them because of their video reviews that go into the camera features more. You can get view of what is available. It also compares the competitors and previous models.

flickr.com another forum group.

Photography on the net is a really nice site. As you're a beginner, there's lots of learning at this site however some of the folks there are pretty advanced so don't be surprised if you receive some harsh critiques or anything. :)

Hey folks, Thanks for every single recommendation and tips.

It's gonna take a while for me to have a look into them and start

Thanks!

I don't do a ton of gear reviews, but do have lots of articles with how to's on photography, lightroom tips and lots of other photo related articles on my site. Check it out at http://www.digitalphotobuzz.com
Also drobo is giving away 2 drobos soon, check our recent post on how to enter :)
