So I have decided that while I love my current 17" LCD's I want more desktop space. It is kind of greedy, but I have this huge craving for more and more space, I always seem to find it useful and more efficient. Especially when I am working in Photoshop, and several other programs at once.

I love the look of the new apple monitors, and from what I have read / heard the new displays look stunning in quality and are very sturdy. But now this brings up the question of what should I be looking at. On the one hand I am interested in having desktop space right now, which means I should go with the dual 20" inchers. This would give me a very nice workable area and plenty of room for my projects. However, part of me also thinks the 23" is a good idea. When I use the 23" at the apple store I never feel cluttered, you can spread out and have so much area to work with it's great. Especially if you start working with final cut, which I am going to be doing a lot of in the future with my major. If I went with a 23" I would not have the immediate space gratification but perhaps in a year I could add another one for dual 23" 's. Plus I feel the 23" works better for watching movies or TV (if I got a TV tuner card).

So what do you guys think? Dual displays are so sweet, and I am able to be very productive with the extra desk space... but at the same time the 23" has it's benefits. Plus it's a bit cheaper than dual 20's.

thanks for the input.
