Hi There I have a pro mac Orig. 2006 Dual core 2.66 , wanted to know if running two 22in. samsung monitors on my 7300gt would cause the video card to fail?

Is it worth the upgrade from 7300 gt to 8800 gt. If I don,t do any gaming
I also heard of capacitors going bad on the 7300 gt,Has anybody heard or experienced any thing? 7300 gt is going for $177 and the 8800 gt for $297
thanks Mike

my 7300 gt took a dump

mostly using pro mac for pro tools, need to get new card asp

Help needed on above questions, would be great to get some input
thank all

You can buy better cards for that than those prices listed. There's numerous threads posted from people buying the PC equivalent cards and flashing them with a Mac rom. You get better performance and at half the cost of Mac OEM cards.

I don't think shift to 8800gt is a very good idea.I have used my 7300gt with two acer x223w for two years, and I can't see any problem.Compare with 8800gt,7300gt is complete silent(no fan).If you just stick with music production, than you will have no problem with 7300gt.
