I have an old Dual 450G4 running 10.2.8 and Apple Admin Utility 3.1.1

I used to use it just fine with my older system based on Apple Expresses all over the house. I now have an Extreme and 2 scattered Expresses for iTunes, but after bringing out my old Dual 450, it keeps saying "There was an error joining the selected AirPort network." I KNOW that it is correct. Is this a WPA/WEP issue? or what could be the problem? Would finding some of my older airport discs help?

I really want to get this running for my 3 daughters in the bonus room. Homework is increasingly needy of the internet.

All ideas are VERY welcome!

Sounds like a WEP/WPA issue. The old Airport cards are 40-bit WEP only, though I think there may have been a firmware update though.

I'm using a Belkin pci in there that the system has always seen as an Apple G capable card.
Seems that I might not be able to administer it from the older system, but I should be able to log on with an ID?
This is driving me nutz.
