I just purchased a Dell 32" 6K monitor (U3224KB) on a Black Friday sale to replace the Alienware 34" W3418DW that is centered on my desktop (flanked by an Apple 5K and an LG 5k 27" monitor).

While I will find out in a week when it is delivered, any comments on whether this setup will work easily with my Studio M1 Max? Or will I have to jump through some hoops?

You good with both 24 or 32 core GPU.

Thanks for that info; I forgot to say that my M1 Max is 64GB with 32-core graphics.

How will the monitors be connected?

Do you have any other Thunderbolt devices connected or plan to get any?
Both the current Apple and LG 5K 27" monitors are Thunderbolt (or USB-C) only. The new Dell has a variety of input ports. My current 34" Alienware is connected via HDMI; I have no idea how well the Dell will work with HDMI.

FWIW, I also have a CalDigit Element Thunderbolt 4 powered expansion block which gives me more Thunderbolt/USB-C ports.

It was suggested earlier to run the Dell off of one of the Studio's front USB-C ports.

No current plan for additional Thunderbolt-only devices.

The Studio M1 Max supports "up to" five simultaneous displays -- four displays "up to" 6K resolution (6016x3384) at 60 Hz via USB-C and one display "up to" 4K (4096x2160) at 60 Hz via HDMI.
It has two front-mounted USB-C ports (up to 10 Gb/s).

So all your three 5/6K displays will have to be connected to the TB4 ports at the rear. The front ports don't output video.
One TB4 rear port is able to feed two 5K monitors through the USB-C (TB4) output ports of a TB4 dock, though I don't know if the TB-only (for 5K) LG is supported for this way of working. I guess it should be?
As you already have the Caldigit dock you can try it.

I have the M1 Max Mac Studio. There's a thread on these forums that addresses the fact that you can only get two of the rear Thunderbolt ports to output true TB speeds…or juice or whatever you want to call it.

I have two Acasis TB (40gbps) enclosures for SSDs. I cannot get both of them to work whilst my LG 4K monitor is connected to one of those ports (and connected to the monitor via DisplayPort). The monitor will not work via the USB-C ports on the front.

A Kensington TB hub connected to the rear has solved my issue.

A summary of the issue is that Apple was deceptive in describing all four ports on the rear as Thunderbolt capable.
