So I have had an SSD for a boot drive and a 500GB HD for file storage for about a month now. My plan was to Run a Windows 7 partition in virtual machine but I REALLY didn't like parallels. Unfortunately due to poor planning I partitioned the second 500GB HD as a OS X partition. Before I start moving things around I want to make sure this is possible as it is going to take quiet a long time to implement.
Can I dual boot either XP or Win7 with OS X on my SSD via bootcamp and partition the second 500GB HD to a FAT partition and have the 500GB HD completly seen/shared in both partitions?
this seems perfectly logical/possible but being that im only an OS X user of about 7 months now and how long this will take I want to make sure im covered.
Will this work as smooth as I think it should?
the only problem im foreseeing is if you partition the bootcamp on the SSD that for some reason the MS OS will ONLY be able to see its SSD partition and no other hard drives. I know it dosnt seem like that's how it would work but I just want to cover my bases.
