Is it possible to have dual boot working *just fine* on a MacBook Pro 2011 using an Intel 320 SSD for OSX in an Optibay Caddy and a Western Digital HDD in its main bay?
I ask because I'm about to upgrade the laptop, but before doing so I created a secondary partition via Disk Utilities for Windows 7 on the 750gb drive, alongside OS X Lion. This worked. Unhappy with Lion (awful implementation of Expose) I added a third partition again using Disk Utility and installed OS X 10.6.6 (got a hold of the install disc for the early 2011 MBPS).
The problem now is that Windows is NOT recognized, but Snow Leopard and Lion are. If I try to use Bootcamp it says 'the startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition'
What gives? Why is my Windows partition not working anymore? Am I going to run into the same problems when I install my SSD drive into the optibay caddy? My goal is to have OS X Snow Leopard in the secondary bay, removing the ODD, and Windows 7 in a 1TB drive on a 100gb partition and the rest of it to use for storage.
Thanks!
