I want to buy another hard drive for use witht he powermac. I was looking at faster drives (10000 or 15000 rpm) and i want to know what hard drives are compatible with that. SCSI, will that work? What should i look for?

unless you buy a SCSI card you have to get a sata hard drive, western digital make 10k raptor HD's i'd pick up one or two of them.

I think those would have to be external SCSIs if you wanted that.

I vote on the SATA Raptors. I would start with one, no telling if the G5 can handle the heat from 2 Raptors.

the drive consumes 8.4W, it's hardly a hot drive.
It's one of those low-power heaters ;) Also functions as a small hard drive :D
