My Intel-based iMac from mid-2007 is malfunctioning and until I can repair it would like to use it as a monitor for my 2010 MacBook Pro. Apple's online specs don't make it clear whether this model iMac can receive DVI input or if it's for output only. Does anyone have experience with this? Which Mini-DVI adapter would I need for this?

Re: ScreenRecycler

Thanks simsaladimbamba. Installed ScreenRecycler and it works fairly well over WiFi. Image quality is significantly reduced and watching online videos is awful (but might be improved when using a LAN cable). It will have to do for now.

Btw, you are still a newbie too, at least according to your post count. I could also remind you of "Lepord".
