Hi everyone,

I have a Mini 2.6GHz i7 Late 2012 running Mojave 10.14.2 with the Intel HD 4000 Gfx. The dual displays I have aren't doing what they should. The monitors are:

Primary: Hans-G HQ272 - Thunderbolt Port
Seconday: HP 27fw - HDMI

I cannot swap monitors and ports as I need the higher resolution of the Thunderbolt port for the Hans-G. The HP is 1080p maximum monitor anyway and only has HDMI ports.

Problem:

Power up Mini with both monitors on - only the secondary display comes on, however the mini clearly thinks the primary display is on as the mouse can go that way and I don't get the dock on the secondary - i.e. the secondary monitor is showing exactly what it normally would when the primary works.

Power up Mini with primary on only - works fine

Power up Mini with primary on, then turn on secondary once booted and logged in. SOMETIMES this works and both displays do what they should, but sometimes the primary goes to sleep and I cannot wake it.

Going into display options and clicking 'detect displays' does nothing.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!
