I have a 15" MBP and I am using a USB to VGA adapter for monitor 1, and mini display to DVI for monitorr 2. I no longer need the display of the MBP, and have made montior 2 the main display. I have changed my power settings when I close the lid to "do nothing" yet when i close the MBP monitor 2 (main desktop) goes off and monitor 1 ( USB to VGA adapter) goes to main desktop.

I have also tried connecting monitor 2 through mini display to vga with no success.

Anyone have a solution for this problem?
