I bought an OptiBay to replace my MacBook optical disk with a second HD, both to increase a bit the disk space and to ease the disk backup (separate boot and data drives).
I was thinking about using an SSD such as the Intel X25-M for the boot drive and re-use the current 7200rpm HD for data.
But for a lot less than the SSD, I could buy a second identical 7200rpm HD and configure them in RAID 0 (to separate boot and data, I could create two partitions).
Any hint as to what would offer the biggest performance boost?
