Just wanted to know if anyone out here has tried a dual HDD set up? I'm thinking more in the lines of two 750GB Seagate Momentus XT's rather than an SSD+HDD. I'm curious to know why some chose dual HDD's instead of SSD+HDD. Any input would help. Thanks!

Just get that Crucial M4 512 GB you have been eyeing.

I just bought that SSD 10 minutes ago. Now I'm asking for my cousin who's trying to start her own graphic design company. She's new to forums and doesn't want to sound stupid she says; so I did it for her. Haha. I'm not too sure what's needed more if she's using CS5. Speed or Space?

I would still go SSD + HDD - gives you a lot of space still.

SSD are wonderful for speed

I guess the only reasonable reason to go that route is to get as much space as possible.
2x 750GB is 1.5TB. 2x 1TB is 2TB.
With an SSD you only got the SSD + 1TB.
I am not really sure what you can do with 2TB that you cannot make fit with 1TB and external data storage. At some point you always end up putting some data externally if you have a huge amount.

SSD+HDD is faster and silent when the HDD is off. 2x Momentus XT would be noisy not any cheaper and still much slower.
