I’ve had my Apple Vision Pro since launch day and have used it almost every day—typically two to four hours at a time—with the Solo Knit Band.

I’ve now ordered the Dual Knit Band and am curious whether anyone has received theirs yet and, if so, what your first impressions are.

Mine is scheduled to arrive between December 4 and 11.

I've had mine since the released, really like it. It's heavier and I feel needs to be tighter, but it's much more comfortable, especially for long periods of time. So more balanced I guess.

Great to hear someone getting great use from their AVP. What do you mainly use it for ?

I had a demo of the M2 a few months back and had a demo of the M5 a week ago.
Sitting on the fence, they were pretty poor on the M5 demo so I kind of fumbled around on my own with it.

I admit, i stopped using the Vision Pro a lot due to comfort. It was an occasional treat for me once or twice a week. I've had this dual knit band for a week and have used the AVP almost everyday and keep it on for much much longer. It is far more comfortable and changes my tolerance in terms of the length of time I use it.

It’s like having a high-end, completely portable home theater strapped to my face. The quality is unmatched—sound, visuals, everything. The IMAX apps are simply incredible.

I’ve always loved 3D content, and that’s what originally sold me on the device when it was first announced. Not only does iTunes offer hundreds of 3D titles, but the 3D IMAX content looks phenomenal as well. I’ve also ripped my entire Blu-ray 3D library and use Moon Player to watch it. Moon Player creates a cozy, personal home-theater environment that’s become my favorite way to watch. Apple’s outdoor immersive environments (and their void-like theater) are stunning, but they don’t quite have that same cozy feel.

I’m also a gamer, and I use the Moonlight app to stream from my Windows 11 gaming rig to the Apple Vision Pro. This lets me play anywhere in the house with incredible sound and a display that’s as large or as small and detailed as I want. And because it’s a virtual floating window the same resolution has the monitor hooked up to my PC, I don’t have to sit on front of a heavy table or desk. The display is just there.

I have two four-year-old twin daughters and often capture special moments with the Vision Pro on my head. I’ve compared it to 3D capture on the iPhone, but there’s something far more immersive about the first-person perspective. My dad passed away six months ago, and being able to experience him again in 3D feels like having him back—if only for a little while.

I also FaceTime with family and friends every week. The virtual image it creates of me has become almost perfectly lifelike. One of my longtime friends also has a Vision Pro, and it projects a 3D holographic version of him right into the room with me. It feels like he’s actually here. When he gets up to cross his room, his hologram does the same in mine—it’s that realistic.

There’s also an app called Game Room where we play classic board games together—think checkers, backgammon, chess, or Battleship—on a virtual table between us. He’s in California, I’m in Washington, but it feels as close as you can get to actually being in the same room. Picture Battleship with animated missiles flying from my side of the board to his, and vice versa.

We also watch content together—usually WWDC and other Apple events—as if we’re sitting side by side on a virtual sofa, watching a massive screen unfold before us.

Apple Vision Pro also serves as a monitor for my Mac and iPad, but most of my time is spent in the apps I mentioned above.

That sounds perfect.

I used my iPhone to get a size measurement for the Dual Knit Band, and it sized me as a Large. I’ve been using the Medium Solo Knit Band for months now, and after a lot of internal debate, I decided to go with a Medium Dual Knit Band as well.

What size did you end up getting and are you happy your decision?

I went large, but want to try a medium. I think you will be good with your medium. It really makes a huge comfort difference.
