I'm just about to take plunge and go to an M2Pro Mini to replace my MacPro 5,1. It has dual ethernet which I currently have in Lagged form to give a theoretical max of 2GB (ie: 2x 1GB ethernet). Yes I know if reality its not that but it does transfer faster to my dual 1GBe ethernet QNAP NAS also in Lagged form via a Layer 3 Managed switch that also supports it too - hence from MacPro to NAS I get better than 1GB Ethernet performance.
My question - has anyone tried a USB to Ethernet adaptor and to set this and built in ethernet to be a bound connection? If so whats the reliability and performance like.
Yes I know I can gert 2.5 GBe as an option, but that requires a switch upgrade at least, and for best performance a NAS upgrade equalling way more than I want or for that matter need to spend right now.
TIA
