Hi,
Here's my disc Burning info:
Firmware Revision: DB09
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 0 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO
Media: Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds
I'm not sure but do I have I got a DL burner? I've tried Verbatim DL discs but the recorder spits them out midway through. Is the brand the problem or is it the burner?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Doc

It's an iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2gb 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. So could it be the -DL blanks I've been using (Verbatim)?

It should list DL under DVD-Write, as you can see here:

Firmware Revision: YL03
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Generic Drive Support)
Profile Path: None
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RAM, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
BD-Write: -R, -RE
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, CD-Raw, DVD-DAO
Media: To show the available burn speeds, insert a disc and choose View > Refresh

What model of drive is listed above your specs?

Here's what I says:
MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-875:

Firmware Revision: DB09
Interconnect: ATAPI
Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)
Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW
DVD-Write: -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW
Write Strategies: CD-TAO, CD-SAO, DVD-DAO
Media: Insert media and refresh to show available burn speeds
As you can see, now it's saying - and + DL. But the times I've attempted to burn DL discs in Toast Titanium, they've failed. could it be the brand of disc-Verbatim? Has anyone used a brand on this burner that works consistently?
Thanks!
