Dual Monitor Setup - M2 Mini

Hey all,

I am need of a desktop setup at home - one of my primary needs is for medical research (minor gaming and video editing as well,) pulling data and running statistics software. Given this I have debated single monitor 27in vs dual monitor 24in. I think in my case dual monitor will be better and because of this my question is

a) what is a good dual 24in monitor setup to use with M2 mini?

b) any other suggestions if thought is that M2 Mini with dual monitor is not the best option?

After using dual displays for years (MacBook and external), I opted for a 32" 4k display for my M1 mini. I got to the point where I couldn't see all of the content I needed to reference simultaneously on both displays. After a bit of thought, I realized that 2 1920x1080 displays wouldn't cut it, and 2 2560x1440 displays would take up too much room.

I settled on an LG 32UL500. I run it in its full native 4k resolution when doing productivity work, and I'll drop to a scaled 2560x1440 resolution when sharing my screen during remote lectures. I sit about the same distance away from the display as my laptop screen. The text is a little small at native resolution, but still easily readable (most apps can scale the size of text rendered if need be). I can run 3 browser windows side by side at 1280 pixels wide, which is wide enough to not collapse tool bars on some sites I use often (and was a problem with putting two browser windows side by side on a 1920x1080 display).

The LG 32UL500 is an inexpensive display. It looks great. My only issue is that it could be a bit brighter. I typically run it at or close to its maximum brightness. It's bright enough, but on really bright days I get a little bit of an issue with glare. The other issue is that it is not adjustable. One of these days, I might pick up a vesa arm for it. A bit larger budget can easily rectify both of those issues.

The lack of a true retina resolution doesn't bother me. It feels like just a few years ago when I was using a small CRT TV as an external monitor.

I just went from 2x32" Monitors at 1440P to the CHG9 and could not be happier.
