dual monitors: can you make it so the only workable areas are the screens?

Just attached a second monitor to my macbook. Right now I can drag windows off both screens, even though they are attached side-by-side in display preferences. ex. i can drag all of a window except for its title bar, below the dock.

Is there way constraining my workable space to only the 6 edges of the 2 monitors (2 edges are cojoined)?
