so i have an old TV (not old like...able to be a monitor still) but i want to hook it up as a second monitor for my mac...i have a Intel mac..i think... but yeah, how do i do it?

it has a VGA input and a couple others like video and such but i think the one i need is the vga and when i look at my computer it says mac os extended (journaled)...yeah i don't really understand my mac as much as i should sadly

but yeah it's a 17" intel Imac i think

you need a mini VGA

Either on ebay or possibly at apple store but not likely you need to get a mini VGA to VGA adapter. It should be one of the last inputs before the safety lock. Unless it is one of the newer iMacs the alunimum models it will be a Mini DVI to either VGA or DVI, but if you get the DVI you will need yet another adapter. But if its just one of the plastic white intel imacs it will be mini VGA.

ummm...i don't know..how do i find out?
(sorry about this...i'm kind of a luddite)

I think you mean mini-DVI

If your iMac is white (not aluminum) then you'll need a mini-DVI to VGA adapter.
