I have a 15inch early 2011 MBP
Currently using the thunderbolt port to a DVI adaptor and then into a samsung syncMaster P2270HD. Only problem is I now want two monitors...but I want to avoid breaking the bank. Mainly I would like one monitor for working from and one for reading articles off etc. However, ideally I would like the performance of both monitors to be suitable for all tasks e.g. reasonable latency for video etc. I realise that a degree of that depends upon the monitor, and for the price, I will be buying a slightly updated version of my current monitor (HDMI/DVI/PC). If a reasonably cheap solution is not available, then I would likely resort to using an iPad (already owned), as a separate monitor for the reading of journal articles etc.
Thanks in advance to everyone able to help/constructively reply.
